 Spring 2024 Schedule

For the Accessibility Resource Center --

ARC services are available throughout the fall for both in person and virtual appointments.  If you would like to set up an appointment with an ARC team member, please email arc@cabrini.edu and we will help you schedule an appointment.

For Academic Enrichment --

Academic Enrichment is located in Rooymans Hall, between the Mansion and Holy Spirit Library.  Schedule an appointment on WCOnline (www.cabrini.mywconline.com) or via the app on CampusShield.  Spring 2024 semester tutoring support is available from January 29 through May 6, 2024, with special tutoring schedule for finals week. We have a pool of talented peer tutors who are able to assist undergraduate students in a wide range of academic skills and subjects. Academic Enrichment provides a variety of tutoring services through the:

MATH RESOURCE CENTER (MAT):  The Math Resource Center is where you can work one-on-one with a tutor on your specific questions and help you build confidence in your analytical skills. The Math Resource Center is an excellent resource where you can refine skills in MAT courses from 098-130; other MAT courses can also be supported by special request and depending on staff availability. To schedule an appointment with a Math Resource Center tutor, look for a peer tutor who has MAT next to their name.

WRITING CENTER (WC):  Sessions in the Writing Center will help you to use your writing process effectively, strengthen your rhetorical awareness and knowledge of conventions, deepen your critical thinking regarding the texts that you are reading and writing, and build your confidence as writers. Peer tutors provide one-on-one consultation for students working on any academic writing project at any stage of development (e.g., planning, drafting, revising, editing). The Writing Center strives to be a welcoming place where thoughtful readers help you meet your writing goals. To schedule an appointment with a Writing Center tutor, look for a peer tutor who has WC next to their name.

What is the Writing Center's E-tutoring? On the schedule, some appointments are labeled "e-tutoring."  These are asynchronous, which means that the client does not need to be present for the session to take place. At the time of your scheduled e-tutoring appointment, your tutor will download the documents that you added to your appointment form and will create written feedback for you. Around the end of your appointment time, you will receive notification that your appointment has been modified and that feedback is ready. E-tutoring sessions are essentially paper review sessions and are most beneficial for writers who already have a complete or nearly complete draft.

SUBJECT AREA PEER TUTORING:  Peer tutors are available to work with you on challenging content in select courses across a variety of disciplines.  In many cases, peer tutors are qualified to tutor multiple subjects, or are versatile MRC or WC tutors who can also provide assistance in other academic areas, i.e., PSY, ACC, BIO, CHE, BUS, SOC, etc.  Select the peer tutor who specializes in the subject in which you need assistance by checking out their short biography or hovering the mouse/cursor over the tutor's name to see a pop-up list of their specialty area(s).

If you need assistance, please visit Rooymans Hall between 9:00am and 4:30pm to speak to a member of the Academic Enrichment staff.  The staff of the Math Resource Center, the Writing Center, and Subject Area Peer Tutoring look forward to assisting you!  Thank you very much.

We look forward to seeing you soon!
